Breakthrough bionic leg prosthesis controlled by subconscious thoughts

May 24, 2015
The Ossur system uses implanted sensors sending wireless signals to the artificial limb’s built-in computer
Biomedical engineering company Össur has announced the successful development of a thought controlled bionic prosthetic leg. The new technology uses implanted sensors sending wireless signals to the artificial limb’s built-in computer, enabling subconscious, real-time control and faster, more natural responses and movements.
Prosthetics controlled by muscle impulses have been around since the late 1960s, but the technology has severe limitations. It works by laying sensors on the skin of the vestigial limb, which picks up electrical impulses that control, for example, an artificial arm. The trouble is, these sensors pick up electric impulses from more than one muscle. This degrades performance, requires a lot of practice to operate properly, and makes the prosthesis slow, Imprecise, and frustrating to use. .

Portable Living Capsule Allows off Grid Living

Perfect for the zombie apocalypse or your next getaway.

FIONA MACDONALD

Love the great outdoors, but not quite ready to go Into The Wild-style and give up hot water and electricity just yet? Slovakian architects have just revealed a super-compact capsule that promises to deliver a nomadic lifestyle, with all the renewable-powered comforts of home. And we really want one.

The whole thing is pretty cramped, measuring just 2.55 m x 4.45 m x 2.25 m, but it’s designed to be entirely self-sufficient for two adults, and is kitted out with a retractable 750 W wind turbine and 2.6 square-metres of solar panels.

The egg-shaped abode, which has been named the Ecocapsule, also has a 9,744 Watt hours battery to store all that power for a rainy (or cloudy) day. The pod is specially shaped to help collect rainwater and dew and funnel it down into a tank below the pod’s floor, filtering it with a clever surface membrane along the way to remove any bacteria.

Inside, there’s a toilet and shower, mini-kitchen, bed, table and storage. The walls are super-insulated to help keep the pod at a comfortable temperature and the home is even capable of charging up your electric car while you tow it.

The design will be on display next week at the Pioneers Festival in Vienna, and will reportedly be available to the public later this year (although no word as yet on the price).

Obviously we’d love to see some more research and data on how the Ecocapsule fares in a range of different environments, but it’s a pretty promising design that will hopefully get people thinking about the future of sustainable living. I, for one, wouldn’t mind living in a world where we all carry our homes around with us like some giant hermit crabs. Just imagine the places we’ll go…

The Dance of Light and Dark by Jamil Haidari

May 25, 2015

As we breathe, the energies of Light and Dark interchange; as is so with the Cosmic Breath of our creator.

The depth and speed of our inhale dictates how deep we can feel the love of our creator and our experience. The Cool, loving embrace expanding in to life as we inhale. The cooler, softer and slower we can inhale; the more we experience the rise of our kundalini up our spine as a cool upstream flow.

The experience peeks and the inhale ends when our perception and feel of expansion has ceased; this depends on the quality and depth of our inhale. Thus you can say the quality of your experiences, the depth to which you can love and feel depends on the inhale.

Conversely, as the breath reverses we begin to harness hot, dark and dense energy. It feels like gravity itself. The heavier and warm the feeling the more dark energy one is grounding. This dark energy is what creates change, action and creation in our reality. By harnessing this energy, we harness the energy of divine and ground it into our being to create more effective change. The energy of darkness and light are 2 halves of ONE. Each one giving its own lessons and experiences.

A true creator uses each one at the appropriate time, balancing the two in perfect harmony.

All life lessons are constantly teaching us this. When we suppress and resist one energy we create imbalances and difficulties in our life. This can be observed by the quality of your breath. Thus working to change the quality of your breath directly impacts all aspects of your being.

We have all played the game of life on every side of the fence. Now we must master the art of staying neutral and playing in the middle. We will always be both Good and Bad based on perspective; and intention. Learning to Love the Dark as you do the Light is our journey home. Home back to our hearts, back to our source and back to neutrality.

Time and Patience – Lincoln Gergar

This is a response from Lincoln Gergar.  I had a question regarding manifestation.  A link to his website is below his answer  – Jamil

Hello Jamil,

When we work to manifest our creative desires into this world, there are many factors at work.  First, a person must:

1) know and trust in the power that they have to create their experiences,
2) know and trust in the power that God / Source Consciousness has to create any experience into reality,
3) know and trust that one’s self is fully connected to God / Source Consciousness, and

4) know that one’s self is worthy and able to experience the end result / goal of one’s creation.

20 Things Only Highly Creative People Would Understand

creative people

Really enjoyed this article.  Can you relate to this??  – Jamil

There’s no argument anymore. Neuroscience confirms that highly creative people think and act differently than the average person. Their brains are literally hardwired in a unique way. But that gift can often strain relationships. I’ve seen it firsthand while working with New York Times bestselling authors and Grammy-winning musicians.

If you love a highly creative person, you probably experience moments when it seems like they live in a completely different world than you. Truth is, they do. But trying to change them isn’t nearly as effective as trying to understand them.

It all begins by seeing the world through their lens and remembering these 20 things: Continue reading
